Lauren Major is a fine art photographer based in Park City, Utah, creating images that explore the beauty of nature, wildlife, and abstraction in the American West. Her work captures fleeting moments of light, texture, and movement, inviting viewers into quiet moments of reflection and wonder.
Raised in Chicago with a darkroom in her basement, Lauren cultivated a lifelong passion for photography. After a 20-year career in finance, she transitioned fully to visual storytelling, producing portrait, lifestyle, and editorial work for corporate and nonprofit clients traveling across more than 25 countries.
Since moving to Northern Utah in 2019, Lauren has focused on nature, wildlife and abstract imagery, guided by curiosity, patience, and reverence for the natural world. A near-death experience in Jackson Hole further deepened her awareness of the fleeting nature of time in the outdoors, an appreciation reflected in her imagery.
Lauren’s photographs aim to connect viewers to the fragile beauty of our world while capturing the profound emotional resonance of place, light, and life.
